This seminar will explain the role of mediation as a means of resolving legal disputes. Northern Ireland lawyers will refer to examples from their own practice in which they successfully used a mediator to help them resolve a legal dispute. The practitioners work in the following areas: Employment Law, Family Law, Medical Negligence and Commercial Law.

As a result of attending this breakfast seminar, you will understand:
- The role mediation can play in helping to resolve legal disputes.
- How to explain the benefits of mediation to your clients.
- How to find an appropriate mediator for a particular case.
- The type of preparatory work you will need to do to prepare for a typical mediation.
- What role you will play in the mediation itself?
- How to bill for a case which involves mediation and how this may compare to cases going to tribunal or court.
