Legal-Island Volunteering Update 2012
At Legal-Island we have had a busy 2012 to date in relation to our various volunteering efforts all over Northern Ireland. We're very aware of our corporate and social responsibility, and in order to 'give something back' to the local community each member of staff endeavours to complete 2 'volunteering' days each year within the local community.
Members of the Legal-Island team could be found volunteering at many different locations over that past six months, such as the Giant’s Causeway, the Donkey Sanctuary or some of the local primary schools. Our volunteering efforts ranged from coaching football and hockey, to judging competitions.
Here is a full list of our 2012 volunteering so far:
- Football Coaching – Ballycraigy Primary School
- Hockey Coaching – Ballycraigy Primary School
- Volunteering - World of Owls
- Shore clean up – Giant’s Causeway
- Judging a business competition - Young Enterprise NI
- Silver Surfer’s Day - BITC
- Time to Read - St Brigid’s Primary School
- Learn to Earn - Slemish
- Saint for a Day - The Donkey Sanctuary
Everyone at Legal-Island is very passionate about volunteering and as a company we are proud to announce that our ‘donated volunteering time’ so far this year equates to £1620. When added to our Rate2Donate scheme and other fundraising activities, this fantastic contribution brings our total donations for 2012 so far to £3628. This has been a great effort by everyone so far, which we will look to continue into the second half of 2012.
