Disability Action’s Employment Advocacy Service has launched a new resource: ‘The Purple Workforce: The Impact of Employing Disabled People’.   The Quick Guide outlines the positive impact employing disabled people can have on a business.

Funded by the Department for Communities, the Employment Advocacy Service helps disabled people who are experiencing difficulties or discrimination in the workplace.  Support is provided by Peer Advocates who are disabled people.  The latest Quick Guide is the fourth in the series and outlines how employing disabled staff can enhance the skill base, culture and profitability of an organisation.

The Quick Guide outlines the experiences of local Northern Ireland employers who already recruit disabled staff. Disability Action is happy to talk with any employer who wishes to explore positive action recruitment.

The Quick Guide is available online at www.disabilityaction.org/purpleworkforce

Or by contacting Disability Action on 028 9029 7800.
