Job Title: 
Learning and Development Services Officer with Republic of Ireland Emphasis

Responsible To: Head of Learning and Development

Salary: Negotiable and in the region of £22,000 - £26,000 plus benefits

Normal Hours: Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm (some flexible working patterns may be acceptable – we prefer our employees to have a reasonable work:life balance).Additional hours and travel time will be required during busy periods

Location: Based at Legal-Island, Island House, Station Road, Antrim, BT41 1BH, although you will be required to travel throughout the island of Ireland.

Job Purpose: As Learning and Development Services Officer with Republic of Ireland Emphasis you will be required to administrate systems on and help prepare legal information and training and events by writing and editing employment law content for publication by Legal-Island, with particular focus on employment and related laws of relevance to the Republic of Ireland.

You will be required to help devise programmes for events, mainly held in the Republic of Ireland, and act as Conference Executive on some events.  Although your job has an emphasis on Republic of Ireland, you will also be required to work on NI or GB-relevant activities or services. You will also be expected to give the Head of Learning and Development and speakers your full support in the run up to big events.

You will be required to assist in the administration and development of HR and other networks in Republic of Ireland and to build contacts and business in said jurisdiction.

You may be required to assist with some HR duties in Legal-Island, which may include developing, advising on and implementing policies relating to the effective use of personnel within an organisation.

Flexibility and commitment to developing the role within Legal-Island are essential attributes for this post.
